FINAL COLLECTION

Inspiring story about Edison Penna who was a survior of the tragic mine collaps in Chile, He surivived many grueling weeks trapped underground with no food or water and very little light. To keep his sanity alive and battle for his survival he ran every day underground often dragging pieces of heavy equipment behind him to keep his health and sanity alive. After his survival he went on to complete two New York marathons in record time and is an inspiration to live your life and fight every day for what you have. My collection silhouettes came from typical miner outfits mixed with sportswear such as running shorts and breathable fabrics. I added an element of tailoring as it is my passion to keep the tradtional birtish tailoring techniques alive and modernise them as all the great designers are doing. The black contrasted with bright colours comes from the little light underground light briefly with flashes of colours through broken rocks.
