My Final Major Project was a personal journey through turkish heritage exploring my family roots through colour, symbolic motifs and old family photographs, conveyed through a fabric medium. My interior collection is influenced by the Mediterranean, featuring turquoise blue and the deep rich colours of Turkey mixed with modern aesthetics. Using a diverse range of techniques from traditional screen printed methods to contemporary computer aided design, I have visually communicated my concept of ‘Traditional Turkish Heritage mixed with my Contemporary Western Upbringing’.
