Finger Homes (In collaboration with V&A For CSM BAJD)

  • Heavenly Johnson

My Finger Homes collection was designed by looking at V&A's architecture collection. Taking inspiration from paper card models of buildings and the "1:1 architects build small spaces exhibition", I created these interactive buildable model homes for the finger with simplistic modular designs. As a kid, I was fascinated with building model homes with cards and found objects, hoping to someday build my family the perfect home. This piece is me allowing people to play with the idea of homes with wearability, similar to what I did as a child. The collection is designed in the minds of all ages to be fun for everyone. The piece comes on a postcard-size sheet and can be popped out and built using glue; I laser-cut the design. You can paint the piece, but it comes in three different types of paper: matt grey, textured white and shiny silver.
