As more Scottish communities opt to design their own regional flags, Design Week explores where the trend comes from, and how the practice has been modernised. In Scotland, 11 regions, cities and towns have registered their own flags, and a further four are in the process of doing so. Eight of the already-adopted flags have come in the last three years.
