Four aces

A few months ago I took part in a playing cards illustration challenge at work and was assigned the ace of spades. I ended up using the suite's shape and was inspired to continue illustrating the other three aces using the same idea. Along the way I also wanted to associate the cards to the four elements, because why not? This is the set I created: spades + water, diamond + air, hearts + earth, clubs + fire (yes, that is a phoenix because I say it is). Drawn too small, sometimes messy, God bless Wacom.
