From Tree to Bar

Jose (the founder of Mayoy Cacao) needed a full brand rethink. He has big cacao dreams, he is passionate about chocolate-making that regenerates Venezuelan land and its local community. He felt ‘brand lost’, having previously worked on developing a brand that wasn't suitable for the bean to bar chocolate connoisseurs in the European and international market. We journeyed back to our Venezuelan roots when our ancestors treasured the cacao. We explored their forgotten language and discovered the word ‘Mayoy’; which means ‘Friend’. Venezuelan Cacao is recognised as one of the best cacao’s in the world. We set to create a brand that is friendly, honest and truly pure.
