Digital technology is ubiquitous and pervades every aspect of contemporary life, it has extended the reach of written communication and made it more accessible. Screen based text does not maximise the potential of either type or digitisation, however, function aggression explores the potential of digital technology to extend the communicative power of text and type. It visually communicates four level of aggression, navigating between text and the fluidity of digital code. It uses JavaScript and processing to transform speech into text, simultaneously visualising emotion.
