Future Fossils

  • Adam Cooper

An immersive adventure for families at the Rotunda. Visitors to the Yorkshire Fossil Festival were invited to join a squad of ground-breaking geologists, the Future Fossils Federation, to investigate how to protect the future environment of Scarborough. They teamed up with St Peter’s R.C Primary School and made some dark discoveries.

Future Fossils participants visited a top-secret HQ and explored mysterious findings as well as listening to the voices of Scarborough’s young climate activists. Future Fossils allowed visitors to experience the magic of the Rotunda as they never had done before, in an interactive family exhibition.

Future Fossils was created by Year 4 children from St. Peter’s R.C Primary School Scarborough in collaboration with Crescent Arts artists Janet White and Charlotte Salt and award-winning theatre maker Toby Peach.

Part of the Yorkshire Fossil Festival. Curated by Invisible Dust for Scarborough Museums Trust and funded by Arts Council England.
