Gezurra

  • Eduardo Pelach Alonso

Synopsis: Zugarramurdi, Navarra. Dozens of people are burnt, accused by the Inquisition, because of something called witchcraft. But, what is witchcraft? In fact, did it actually exist? Centuries later, however, has anything changed at the very highest level of power in our society? Description Gezurra is a documentary film that provokes to reflect on the bad functioning of the current power structures. It shows a kind of witchcraft that looks fictional but occurs nowadays, which suggests that maybe nothing has changed so much. Its fantasy tone captures attention to tell a rough truth. This documentary will make you think, and encourages more than one viewing to realize the deep connection and similarity between the old and current power structures: “think as I do or vanish".
