In 2016 the United Nations devised 17 Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs in short, that form the foundation of the UN’s Agenda2030. These SDGs range from the straightforward yet also ambitious goal ‘No Poverty’ and extend to more complex goals such as ‘Peace and Justice – Strong Institutions’. All of the SDGs respond to very real-life problems that occur in the world today with a particular emphasis in developing countries. This 6-week brief from Loughborough University was concerned with the SDGs and the Global Challenges that they seek to tackle. We were asked to identify a challenge in one particular country and come up with a series of four posters that addresses, speaks to, tackles and/or educates on this challenge. We were encouraged to relate this challenge to at least one of the 17 SDGs published by the UN. My country: Malaysia My SDG: Reducing Inequalities, in the form of Homophobia
