(A little bit of history) While filming the DJ Battle at the boiler room studios I met a promoter who offered me a venue to host my own event. As I have worked a lot with Naysap the founder of GRLGNG I thought it was only right to bring her and GRLGNG on board as we have been both very ambitious and passionate about putting on our own club night events and as a DJ and even before Djing since I was around 17 years old I've always wrote down notes and brainstorms and often helped out on event hosting and always had a high interest in this area of entertainment. As this was extremely short notice I had 5 days to sort everything out so I let Naysap know about the opportunity we discussed the budget and reached out to DJS and the line up was complete within an hour, I then got to work straight away on a flyer, I then listed the event on all free listings across the web, I used my 456 industry database and sent out emails advertising the night, I continued this with personal messages throughout all social platforms such as whatsapp snapchat instagram, we joined forces to invite all of our friends and page followers from instagram to our facebook event page. We sold over £200 worth of tickets on event brite. I arranged for a professional photographer and videographer and we managed to get a door person last min. Moral of the history lesson always perform your best as you never know who may be watching you, I was blessed with this opportunity and more than grateful. The next GNG will be epic.
