Chrome Web Lab is a unique exhibition that communicates key technologies behind the Google Chrome browser through physical experiments like an internet powered orchestra, robots that could draw portraits in sand and a data tracer to visualise the path of a web search.
The exhibition was installed for a year at London’s Science Museum and was the first major exhibition to be open to the world online. Online users could interact remotely with the experiments and view them through 24-hour web cams. The project attracted 400,000 museum visits and 6.5m online visits.
