HAPPY Typeface
We were asked to fill in an anonymous questionaire about ourselves, and then swap it in the class. The questionaire was used to reveal the writer’s personalities and we were asked to design a typeface based on the personalities.
Solution:
She is a happy and outgoing girl, maybe a bit shallow, but kind. I decided to design a typeface that looks happy and makes people smile.
In this design, the characters are made by dots with the red dots forming smiley faces. Red is her favourite colour and it looks energetic. The dots leave plenty of open space in the characters and bring an outgoing and shallow look. She loves laughing. I think a smiley face in each characters can be quite simple and clear.
