Homelessness prints

Art prints created to raise funding for kits to be handed out to the homeless in the city of London. (Also featured at the entry exhibition for New blood shift)

There was once a time that I wasn't as fortunate as I am currently.
And this was just my way to give back to those that are even less fortunate than I was then.

I created this mandela orientated design as a form of representation for what is commonly seen in towns & cities all around the world.

The centre of the image is a bench & surrounding that item is a dogs face, which is to demonstrate the fact that most homeless people generally have a guard / companion whilst they occupy just one of many forms of a bed.

You might see something completely different in the design itself, I guess that's down to where your imagination takes you.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that most people won't look closely at the greater picture, which is my perception of how the majority treat the homeless
I got to the stage I decided I would try to give back to those that have suffered similar problems, I turned the design into a print & gave it a nice frame (see above)

I then proceeded to attempt to sell the limited edition framed prints via a webpage, where a percentage of around 40-50% of gross profit would be used to create kits for those on the streets.

The kits would consist of household toiletries, warm clothing & non perishable food, to be handed out around London to remind those that feel forgotten, that they are far from it & there are plenty of people out there that care.

Unfortunately due to my lack of marketing skills, I didn't manage to shift any.
But I'm hoping in the near future, I will be able to get the project off the ground properly & for it to become a regular operation.
