She wondered why hers wasn’t straight like her white school friends, not realising the true power, diversity and beauty of Black hair until later in life. ⁠ ⁠ As part of Issue 29, Nawanga captured ‘The Black Hair Movement’ to prove that there’s more to Black hair than people think. ⁠ ⁠
