The previous logo was similar to the other logos we see on the link above. The Brief was to try to change the logo while keeping elements from the original such as the wireframe shape of the globe, the name of the association (IAAS) and the wheat stalk while adding the location of the comitee which in this case is Porto (Oporto), Portugal.
