I took something I am very passionate about, ice cream, and decided to create my own brand called ‘Ice Cold’. The USP of this ice cream is that it is packaged as paint tins, and will have the same process as picking your colour (flavour), with scratch and sniff swatches and charts available to look through to help pick and then get your desired flavour made. As the removal of plastic in packaging and using sustainable materials is becoming a huge factor, I too wanted to make my brand eco-friendly, and one that would fit a sustainable future. Hence why the base of my ice cream parlours would be refill stations, the metal tins would then serve as containers to refill each time. I also realised the demand for healthier and alternative options, with the shift in lifestyle changes such as veganism. Therefore, like paint, the ice cream comes in a range of three ‘finishes’, which all have different ingredients to make sure it suits all dietary requirements and so there is something for everyone. The launch of the brand is also accompanied with a website, brand guidelines, an app to order from, various promotional materials and an animated advertisement.
