'In Her Shoes' is a digital project that collates stories from the real women of Thurrock to create a virtual storytelling experience for people to access from their own homes. Working with the community to create a portfolio of diverse stories, we have created a project that fuses our passion for community work, diverse representation and creative innovation.
'In Her Shoes' is a digital project that collates stories from the real women of Thurrock to create a virtual storytelling experience for people to access from their own homes. Working with the community to create a portfolio of diverse stories, we have created a project that fuses our passion for community work, diverse representation and creative innovation. Areas of research included the families of the Windrush Generation, Kynochtown, the Bata Shoe Factory & Estate and the State Cinema, Grays. These historical buildings and events are combined with stories from women who have an affiliation with Thurrock to create a rich tapestry of human experience in the borough.
Using binaural audio editing, we are creating an immersive storytelling experience in which audiences can learn about the women who have impacted Thurrock, Essex throughout history.
