Since it closed in 1960 the Corah complex in Leicester has been decaying in the same incremental way that it grew, this time at the hands of arson attacks and demolition. The site has changed dramatically over 150 years and will continue to do so. The proposal acts as a commentary on this incremental growth and decay. It looks to establish a durable, adaptable infrastructure that accommodates for future development, establishing a concrete plinth that new lightweight structures can be added to or removed from over time and a new bridge that links the city to the park.
