Revolution / Revival
Music subcultures are considered by many as a way of life. They make generations. They start revolutions and change the worlds perceptions on youths and music from certain decades. Through time you can see that political unrest is represented through music cultures. As with many fads, they become less popular after a certain amount of time. Unlike other fads, music subcultures are regularly revived in the future and sometimes even given a modern twist while following the core values of the originals.
This publication explores original music subculture (revolution) and the subcultures being revisited in modern day (revival.)
Revolution (A Side) and Revival (B Side) are surrounded around music subcultures. Revolutions discusses original subcultures and why they began. Revival depicts interviews from people who take main influences from the subcultures discussed in Revolution. Each book is divided into three sections which are split with colour.
