Jekyll and Hyde

One bottle, two personalities. “Jekyll and Hyde” is a mixed-variety red wine, an eccentric blend of contradictory flavours and aromas by Tetramythos wines in the Peloponnese. To communicate the wine’s inherent schizophrenia, we named it after R. L. Stevenson’s novel: “The Strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”, which documents the inner struggle between the good doctor and his murderous twin self. The packaging features two opposite labels on either side of the bottle. On the front is good Dr. Jekyll, and on the reverse, evil Mr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyll label is white and upright, while Mr. Hyde is black and stuck upside down. The packaging is designed to intrigue with its duality, both on the shelf, and at the table. As the wine is served, the bottle is tilted, and names are reversed: Hyde is up and Jekyll is down. More intrigue comes from diners sitting at either side of the table, reading two different names for the same wine.
