The short animated film ‘Juiced up’ comments on present-day gym culture, exploring steroid abuse and the irreversible side effects it inflicts. It also shows tendencies of vanity and gender stereotyping. Daria Zadecka, script writer and director of the film, addresses this issue by creating a corny and overworked fictional character. Brad is a typical gym bro, who is in the rush for a sweat sesh together with other bros in the Temple of Iron. He takes the taxi and shares his view on steroids as soon as he enters the car. The taxi driver is not amused, yet very patient and listens to the monologue without interrupting. Once the car arrives at its destination, everything becomes clear.
