Junior Graphic Designer

We are on the lookout for a Junior Graphic Designer to work alongside the Creative team here in St Agnes, Cornwall, providing support in the design outputs and delivery of both digital and print material.
The right candidate will be able to convey the brand’s personality clearly and consistently across a variety of channels, including – website, mobile, new product launches, print and digital advertising campaigns, brand partnerships, POS, email, social media other platforms – all with a keen eye for detail.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Working within the creative team and collaboratively across the all departments in the business, you will be responsible for supporting and sharing the following responsibilities:
· Develop creative assets to support the brand and commercial stories across digital and physical channels
· Generate mood boards of relevant design ideas when required
· Manage deadlines and consult with head of creative to manage workflow and calendar
· Respond to any gaps in design/online communication that you see and suggest ideas
· Ensure work consistently answers the brief in terms of the look, feel and functionality and that designs communicate the intended brand experience
· Be responsible for the online image library and responding to image requests
· Consult with technical experts where required to ensure the interactive elements of designs work
·Work within brand guidelines and brief specifications
EXAMPLES
updating website banners, implementing website developments, digital advertising (including Instagram / facebook / retargeting / prospecting), lifecycle emails, retail POS, retail displays, promotional material, product labelling, branding, swingtags and packaging, internal documents, artworking of print advertising, basic HTML
KEY ATTRIBUTES
· ­­Relevant portfolio displaying strong technical/artworking skills
· Talent and passion for good design and layout
· Interest in and knowledge of HTML
· Strong skills and experience in Adobe suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
· Ability to artwork specs and set up files for print
· Appreciation and knowledge of usability and customer experience online
· Understanding of designing for mobile, tablet and desktop / responsive
· Strong attention to detail
· Place importance on good typography
