The theme of the following project is a library cafe - space in the historical part of Florence, in Salvemini Square. This cafe is supposed to be a place where one can enjoy his cup of coffee as well as some snacks or desserts while reading his favourite book or going through the pages of a nice magazine.
Coming up with the design of the place, the author of the project got his inspiration from the colours and forms of the art of Macchiaioli - a famous movement of Italian artists active in Tuscany in the second half of the nineteenth century. Following the same guideline, the author tried to bring the natural light of the square into the interior using a similar colourscheme and feeling as in the art of the famous Tuscan group.
