Abstracted landscapes from a mine turned botanical garden and area of ethnological interest. Marks and formations carved into stone by hand in the 19th century are now given a new context through the horticultural marks of gardeners in the 21st century. The juxtaposition of something so hard and coarse being softened by flora shows how we can give new life to what was a desolate area.
