Global luxury hotel brand Mandarin Oriental have a portfolio of 34 exclusive hotels worldwide. Working as the lead photographic commissioner on the content contract at Cedar Communications, my responsibilities include their bi-annual print title MO Magazine, commissioning all-rights photography, illustration and video, briefing their in-house photographer when new properties are opening, and overseeing governance and house style across the photographic offering. Having worked on the account from pitch, I, along with the editorial team at Cedar, have been responsible for redesigning the hotel’s print title, launching an entirely new digital outlet and relaunching a new social media strategy.

In 2018, the brand opened Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como. To preview the destination before the hotel was ready to officially open, I commissioned photographer and creative director of Cereal Magazine, Rich Stapleton, to shoot the Lake out of season. The shoot provided assets for the hotel to use in run-up to the launch, a cover feature and photo essay in MO Magazine, and across the hotel’s digital and social platforms.
