Marcus Palmqvist, born in Gothenburg, Sweden, studied Photography at the London College of Printing, graduating in 2001. He now lives and works between London & Sweden.
Palmqvist’s work is fresh and dynamic. With a passion for frozen movements, faded lights, strong colours and crisp compositions, he aims to push boundaries and create new ways of looking at commercial photography. He is inspired by what he sees around him, and uses this to inspire his viewers.
Working through his still-image photographic practice, Palmqvist has unearthed a provocative and innovative universe within his moving images. As a film-maker and photographer, he has exhibited & screened work across all parts of the world.
