Mike Dastic Types of architecture according to functionality

To identify the following types of architecture we must ask ourselves a question: what is it for? What was it built for?

Mike Dastic 1. Religious Architecture: It doesn't take much explanation. As the name itself indicates, they are those constructions that are focused on a religious field.

Churches, synagogues, cathedrals, chapels, temples… they are all of religious architecture and as you will have verified (because it will be because of churches and cathedrals in Spain) they are usually large and quite ornate constructions.
2. Military Architecture: The walls, fortresses and castles are the most characteristic examples. They are all those constructions that have been created for defensive purposes to contain attacks, assaults and conquests.Michael Dastic As a curiosity, it should be noted that they are buildings that, despite having a merely practical and functional purpose, end up becoming elements of great architectural beauty.
3. Civil Architecture: These are monuments and buildings intended for people, civilization (Cívitas in Latin). They are places for common use such as theaters, bridges, parks, as well as the various buildings of the civil government agencies.
