Monsters - 100 Weird Creatures From Around the World

This is a tour de force collection of monster stories, illustrated by myself and written by my partner Sarah Banville. Monsters 100 Weird Creatures from Around the World is published by Wren & Rook (Hachette Children’s Group) and is a large format non-fiction epic, capturing 100 of the world’s most wanted monsters for children and adults aged 9 and up. This book was created in the depths of lockdown after securing a publisher just as the pandemic was gaining ground. It was the best possible medicine for us as author and illustrator, and for our children, as we could escape into the research and stories of these truly incredible creatures. The book has 100 full colour, full page illustrations capturing the bizarre beauty of the various forms of monster from the well known Zombie, Mummy, Bigfoot to the little known Tenjoname, Gulon and Nuppeppo.
