As a regular patron of Mora, I was delighted when they asked me to design their menu suite. Since the restaurant had just undergone a refurbishment, I was inspired to make use of the exciting new interiors. The restaurant now boasted a bold teal paint on the exterior, along with a strip of oxidised copper. The bar and seating area were all made of reclaimed oak which was offset by fine glass details and chunky metal girders. The place was bursting with texture and I made sure to incorporate this in the design. Similarly to Ocho Spa, I made a series of hand-painted textures in a teal similar to the restaurant exterior. The final texture emulates the wood that was such a big feature of the interior design, but contrasts with the dark tables, adding a pop of colour to the room. I kept the typography simple and elegant, keeping the designs in line with the cool modernity of the restaurant. If you’re ever in Glasgow be sure to pay them a visit!
