At a time when most photographers were jumping on the next plane to South Africa to photograph the World Cup, I decided to focus my camera on our shores to capture the strong relationship we British have with the game of football.
I started off by photographing the football charity known as 'Street League'. This charity uses football to help improve the lives of underprivileged people by teaching them life skills, using the game as an aid. Whilst spending time with Street League I met some amazing people with very inspiring stories to tell, and could see just how much it means to the people involved, both staff and members.
I am currently still working on and developing this project.
