On Track | Editorial for The Rakish Gent

With Olympic fever in full swing, there couldn't be a better time to share this editorial I shot for The Rakish Gent. See the Full Editorial Here - https://lnkd.in/d3hevSaP There's a back story to this shoot. I had booked and arranged to shoot on the track of an athletics centre weeks in advance. As the editorial was sports-themed and to be published during the Olympics, shooting on the track was an essential part. On the day of the shoot, the team and I showed up at the athletics centre to find a school sports day going on. They had double booked. It was a nightmare, the main location was no longer usable. We shot on the tennis courts and cricket nets as planned and I still did the track shots on the grass pitches. I wasn't happy with them. It didn't have the aesthetic I had planned for. Once in post-production, I began playing with Adobe's Generative AI. After some work, I generated the track in Adobe Photoshop using their AI tool. It worked, it looked good and it saved the shoot! I can see now that AI has a function that works to support creativity not replace it.
