One In Five, an investigative short documentary that follows two young aspiring female filmmakers and their exploration into the issues preventing women from succeeding in a male dominated film industry. Including interviews with baita winning Amma Asante and renowned film critic Mark Kermode amongst various other industry professionals offering their own views and experiences.
Eight months ago, back in September 2016 a small team of four Holly Bourdillon, Hannah McMeeking, Aminah Tariq and I embarked on a journey to explore and expose the issue of female inequality behind the camera in the male dominated film industry. As Director of Photography it was my task to create a visually engaging film that really supported and guided the audience through Hannah & Holly's (Co-Directors) journey.
