PINEAPPLE WOOL

Designing a material that communicates the Stella McCartney brand’s ethos and ethical position, the project presents a vegan alternative to wool that was designed within the circular economy. The waste leaves of pineapples are collected before extracting the fibres and taking them through the traditional crafts associated with wool, such as spinning. This project formed the basis of my master's thesis 'Wool: Re-Crafted'. Photography and film by Nathalie Spencer.
