'POLAROIDS' Book by PLACES+FACES

Places+Faces first ever book ‘POLAROIDS’ was designed and curated by myself in 2021. With photos dating back to 2013, the book includes a diverse range of subjects spanning the worlds of music, fashion and film. A$AP Rocky, Skepta, Lewis Hamilton, Tyler, the Creator and the late Virgil Abloh all make an appearance, alongside a surprise shot of Quentin Tarantino - a moment that happened by chance. More than just celeb spotting, the book is ultimately about the founders genuine love for photography and being able to capture moments in time that can last forever. Alongside making the book myself, I also managed and produced the whole project from inception to completion - working with the founder to hand-select the polaroids that would work best the book, designing and creating the book on InDesign, finding and trialing different printers around Europe, scouting locations to hold the pop-up event, ensuring all relevant press details are sent out on time and to the right contacts, hand-picking a selection of original polaroids to be framed and hung in the space ahead of time, and ensuring the pop-up flowed well on the opening press night through to the final open to public day.
