In my position as assistant manager and events coordinator for Murdock London I was responsible for launching and overseeing our “Beard Whiskey Night.” As a barbershop in the heart of Shoreditch, this proved very popular in building our brand in the local community. After a few months it was adopted by other Murdock stores throughout London and got excellent feedback from customers.
In my capacity as a political assistant to an MP in the House of Commons I successfully introduced a new social media platform. This entailed producing daily videos of MP speeches in parliament to YouTube, as well as constant Twitter and Facebook updates of day to day policy and events activity. This provided for a much more open and accessible communication with my employer’s constituents and the wider public.
In my training at the London School of Journalism I successfully completed thorough training in radio production, blogging, social media management and TV news broadcasting. I believe this has provided a firm grounding to further enhance my skills.
