PSVita UI Redesign

Unsolicited redesign of the PlayStation Vita OS UI, handheld Sony console often criticised by the public for its User Interface.
This was my first ever design project that I undertook mainly as a challenge to explore alternative design, UI/UX, and to better learn the Adobe suite. Noteworthy how I implemented a blur effect on out of focus UI elements before Apple introduced it fort the first time on iOS 7 (September 2013).
A full set of mockups and flatplans was produced, alongside a detailed study and critic of the original user experience, and further tweaks were implemented after a feedback session with reddit’s Vita community.
