We have been working closely with Qantas’ executive creative director Marc Newson, to reshape the airport journey. The first step was designing the new domestic check in experience, the “Next Generation Check In” now in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne and soon to be rolled out in Brisbane. We designed a family of totems including the welcome, weigh and pack information. These distinct signforms make up a holistic system that is easy to understand, creating an intuitive airport experience for Qantas customers. We have contemporised the airport environment, designing new graphics, signage and customer communications that help streamline and simplify in line with the technological innovations in check in. We also created Qantas’ 90th anniversary logo which features on in-flight programming, sleeper-suits and advertising.
