Secret 7

These were three separate submissions to the Secret 7 brief, where they give you 7 tracks to choose from and design a record album cover for them. I chose Vampire Weekend’s Harmony Hall. I decided to make snakes a reoccurring theme because of the influential lyric “Of wicked snakes inside a place you thought was dignified” from the song. In the lyrics you can hear the band in singing about college institutions and the corruption within them. I wanted to create images that suggested that corruptions. In the latter two, I created the idea that when you are dancing with your friends (a common occurrence at college) it is the freest you can be, with the snake imagery beneath or weaved into the design it suggests that “wicked” undertone.
