The Art Assassins worked with the artist collective, Network 11 and developed a new improvised sound performance presented at Frieze Art Fair and the Peckham Road Fire Station. Between September – November 2016, the Art Assassins worked with the artist collective, Network 11 and developed a new work Sonorous – an improvised sound performance presented in the Reading Room at Frieze Art Fair. Building on this performance, the groups presented a further public performance in the former Peckham Road Fire Station. Sonorous developed through research into Operndorf Afrika (Opera Village Africa), an arts project initiated in 2009 by German film/ theatre director and artist Christoph Schlingensief. Art Assassins are a group of young beings aged between 14-21 years old who meet every Tuesday at the South London Gallery. Network11 is a group of black diaspora art practitioners working in a range of disciplines, media and practices, coming together to celebrate, question + promote developments of art practices. Members participating in this event include Larry Achiampong, Beverley Bennett, Junior Boakye-Yiadom, Shepard Manyika, Jade Montserrat, Ima-Abasi Okon and Kamile Ofoeme.
