Spared From Restless Dreams

in January 2020 i set out to drive across Europe in order to learn more about a place that had fascinated me since i was a child. my aim was simple, to document the trip through photographs that would remind me of the places i visited, nothing more, nothing less. what i didn't realise at the time was that i was documenting Europe in a time before both Brexit and the Coronavirus pandemic. for better or for worse, things would all change in a number of weeks after the trip concluded and the continent would be the first western hotbed for the disease. what follows, is a trip across Europe.
