Support Worker Day 2022
Short film created for the Royal College of Nursing's Support Workers Day campaign. This film, along with social edits was used as one of the main tools to draw attention and encourage engagement with the campaign, receiving nearly 250,000 views on the day. The challenge was to convey a Support Worker's role is across a variety of health and social care settings, and the important tasks they undertake on a day to day basis, whilst also capturing a grateful sentiment from the public and colleagues for their efforts.
The client's brief asked to put support workers in the spotlight whilst capturing actuality of the daily tasks they undertake. We came up with a lighting set up that would cast a strong spotlight in an interivew set up that could be replicated around the country at various studios near the children's hospitals, community visit, prison and care home that we filmed at. We also recorded colleague appraisals of our featured contributors, and played them back to the contributors on camera to convey appreciation for their ongoing commitment to their work.
