Tactile Flesh

Introducing ‘Tactile Flesh’, a collection of fashion fabrics designed and printed by Isabella Genevieve Solito. ‘Tactile Flesh’ is influenced by the body, and all the lumps and bumps which aren’t usually promoted within the fashion world. The fabrics do not resemble the body at first glance, however, the abstracted designs celebrate making the body beautiful through examination of the fabrics, drawings, and mini sculptures. The incorporated soft tactility of the flesh-like forms within the fabrics allow a connection between the fabrics and the audience. The collection consists of tactile binders, foiled details, heavy embellishment, machine and hand embroidery, and layers of fabrics.
‘Tactile Flesh’ appreciates the body and bits generally not associated as ‘beautiful’. Through embellishments and 3D forms, the fabric collection portrays the body in a new experience of beauty.
