Tea With Mr Gibson

This project was an attempt to go beyond the borders of representation and not only portray somebody without actually showing them on the picture but also portray a person who is no longer alive. To represent their character through emphasizing their undisputed absence. It is the opposite of what photography usually does.
Since photographs show the irreversible passing of time and are the evidence of the fact of death itself, not showing somebody’s physicality but objects somehow connected to them makes their presence to live on. Complimenting those pictures of objects with an audio piece that describes the person adds another dimension and helps us build an image in our minds that is definitely more accurate than a straightforward portrait.
