The Tesseract 1.0, was designed to be mapped with visual projections. The centre of the cube was suspended by nylon fishing line and is designed to present the illusion that it is a freestanding object within the outer frame. The other segment of the project was the visuals, which uses two projectors to project clips from opposite sides of the Tesseract, covering all sides facing the projector. All the visuals were programmed to be reactive with glitch music, which was sampled and created by Optic Motion in collaboration with Seren Sparkes. The thought process behind the creation of the Tesseract was to design an object that is an uncommon, reactive and interactive performance which can be experienced from the perspective of the user and viewer.
