Melissa invites you to the launch of the Melissa Revolution / Fiorella Gianini on Feb 21 - the winning designer for the Melissa NEXT competition. The launch will be celebrated with a panel-talk that shines a light on individuals and initiatives that provide a platform to emerging designers as they navigate the industry’s challenges in the early days of their career. The audience will be encouraged to ask panellists for advice on how to grow and develop their work as the next creative generation in London. This is a public event but space is super limited, and will be operated on a first come first serve basis. We suggest arriving at 6:30pm to guarantee your place to avoid disappointment. THE MODERATOR: Olya Kuryshchuk - @olyaolya Olya is the founder and editor-in-chief of 1 Granary, VOID - a global support network and magazine made to connect, promote and educate young fashion designers. THE PANELLISTS: Fiorella Gianini - @fiorellagianini Fiorella is an Argentinean artist and designer based in London. She won the design competition Melissa Next in 2018. Fiorella's shoe, named Melissa Revolution, was inspired by the 60s fashion and art scene. Paolina Russo - @paolina_russo Paolina Russo is a Canadian born fashion designer based in London. In the past couple of years, her colourful design has taken the fashion world with storm, being granted awards, good critics and the opportunity to sell in one the most traditional retailers of the industry. Sinead O’Dwyer - @sjodwyer Sinead’s design celebrates bodies as she uses measurements to deconstruct the importance we place on our size and to examine how we use fashion as a tool of both self-love and self-loathing. She is also part of VOID, a global initiative by 1 Granary, developed to support the next generation of fashion designers. Clio Peppiatt - @cliopeppiatt Clio Peppiatt is a womenswear designer
who launched her label in 2015. The brand has an ethical and sustainable focus, with a personal approach where the clients take part in the process, creating custom-made beaded dresses. Melissa NEXT was a design competition promoted by Melissa in 2018. Melissa NEXT offered emerging creatives based in the UK the opportunity to be Melissa’s next iconic collaborator by having the winning design brought to life and launched worldwide.
