The “#astăzimi-aplăcut drawer” books

The #astăzimi-aplăcut (i.e. today I liked) drawer is Oana Filip’s digital journal, a collection of thoughts and photographs posted (almost) daily on her personal Facebook account. Every entry represents a raised toast for the people, events and feelings she gathers around during the day and keeps them under the sign of this hashtag. For Oana’s birthday we wanted to extract the information from the digital realm and create a collection of objects that would give a sense of how many memories she’s gathered. The project was not possible without some hide-and-seek around the office, lines of code, many open tabs with the Facebook API and some sloppy generated content. The book series comes as a cin-cin for the lesson Oana offers us: be grateful.
