A book which explores the importance of mathematics in design, focusing primarily on the Golden Section. It looks at topics such as aesthetics, Hogarth’s ‘Line of Beauty’ and patterns in nature.
This research was collated into a book with approximately 200 pages and designed using Adobe InDesign. Diagrams were created in Illustrator to aid with the explanation of the project.
A poster was created to investigate the use of the Golden Section in modern poster design. This poster used a trace overlay to display use of this famous ratio on the individual posters. Both the book and the poster itself featured proportions of the Golden Section in all aspects of design.
