They attract an audience of over 174k targeted users daily who wish to stay in the know with the latest venue openings, secret locations, hidden drinking spots and coolest parties. The Handbook is a major influencing brand which reaches over 103k members via its daily emails

The starting point was approacing the website as a totally new concept. The Handbook's website hadn't been updated in several years and lacked clarity in the modern world on how we consume media. Built around trends of being dark and user friendly it desperatley needed a modern refresh to bring it into a new light.
Handbook users use the website to find the best restaurants, hotels and clubs, things to do and lifestyle. Clarity was important in addition to letting images and interior shots of restaurants & venues shine. Navigation needed to be simple with clear CTA on landing.
The Homepage was the biggest task, creating a cohesive look while keeping a fresh interesting look while also differentiates it from other online magazines. Using several deviding sections for competitons, "you may have missed" trending articles, "I want to find" places sections to break up the engaging content and allow users to find what they want.
