As part of this year’s literary celebrations the ICA, based in London would like to commission a series of ‘collectables’ to celebrate a number of national and international classic and contemporary authors.
Out of a choice of novels, I have chosen “The Wasp Factory”, by Iain Banks and interpret his novel within a 32 page publication. The nature of the story made me use abstract images alongside with uncomfortable colours. Entitled “The Wasp Factory”, It was decided that each image would be machine like and repetitive The story being based in one building for the majority of the novel, the choices of photos taken were all situated in one building, using any resources I can find that related to the word, factory.
